The solid representation utilising the minimal elements of circles and straight lines, components which construct the universe, depicts the infinite possibilities created from the finite.
Through her original brand “HIROCOLEDGE”, she aims to fuse art and fashion.
Born 1977.
1996 Graduated in Fashion Design from Saitama prefectural Niiza Comprehensive Technical High School.
Entered Tokyo University of the Arts, Dept. of Crafts.
2002 Started work as a designer in an apparel company once completing her Master’s in Fine Arts, majoring in dyeing and weaving.
2003 Enrolls again into Tokyo University of the Arts for PhD.
2005 Invited by Culture France, then the AFAA (French Association for Artistic Action) of The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Resides and works in Cité Internationale des Arts.
2006 Founds HIROCOLEDGE Co., Ltd.
2008 Completes PhD.
2013 Changes company name to TAKAHASHIHIROKO INC.
2014 Renovating a 50-year-old factory, opens her own studio. (Design by Jo Nagasaka, Schemata Architects)
2019 Selected as part of the permanent collection at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
2021 Appointed as a professor at Musashino Art University in Tokyo.

高橋理子
アーティスト。着物の伝統を革新する。
森羅万象を構成するミニマムな要素である正円と直線によるソリッドな表現で、有限から生まれる無限の可能性を探ると同時に、オリジナルブランドHIROCOLEDGEを通じて、アートとファッションの融合を目指す。
1977年生まれ。
1996年 埼玉県立新座総合技術高等学校服飾デザイン科を卒業後、東京藝術大学美術学部工芸学科入学。
2002年 同大学大学院美術研究科修士課程工芸専攻染織研究領域修了後、アパレル企業にデザイナーとして勤務。
2003年 同大学大学院美術研究科博士後期課程工芸専攻染織研究領域に再入学。
2005年 仏外務省AFAAの招聘によりパリ・Cité Internationale des Artsに滞在し活動。
2006年 株式会社ヒロコレッジ設立。
2008年 同大学博士課程修了。博士号（美術）を取得。
2013年 社名を高橋理子株式会社に変更。
2014年 築50年の元鉄工所をリノベーションした新社屋完成（設計：スキーマ建築計画 長坂常氏）。
2019年 ロンドンのヴィクトリア・アンド・アルバート博物館に作品が永久収蔵される。
2021年 武蔵野美術大学造形学部工芸工業デザイン学科教授に就任。
